A bachelors paradise
A bachelor's pad, dated 1950's kitchen, is coverted to a jewelry box of contemporary details.
After the room was opened up to the living area, the client's desire to juxtapose contemporary materials and fixtures allowed us to design a warm, environmentally friendly entertainment center. Cork flooring provides an extremely comfortable working surface. Book matched cherry cabinetry and Seagrass Limestone introduce additional natural products. The pass through from the living area over the soapstone bar surface allows the owner to visit with guests. The dishwasher is hidden behind cherry door panels. Rollouts provide easy access to small kitchen appliances. The iridescent glass mosaic tile along with handles, the stone edge detail and plumbing fixtures created a consistent rhythm for the entire kitchen. The book matched cherry veneer is a subtle indicator of our attention to the last detail.
