A Mediterranean Village
The developer created a miniature Mediterranean village in Montecito, which was tucked into a charming lane.
Each home was unique, yet used similar styling in the cabinetry, which was stained differently for each home. This allowed us to influence the custom cabinet manufacturer into creating this mitered door style, which they subsequently named the Santa Barbara. The cabinetry is Alder, prefinished in a stain and glazed finish on the perimeter, with a Midori green pigmented stain on the island. A minimum of upper cabinets meant that the island was the best space for the microwave, which is tucked under the butcher block countertop.
